Alright. First. I suck with the camera - hard core.
So let me try to also describe what I see. This looks like very skinny long clear tentacles
they are almost translucent except for the white dots. it clearly has a skirt, or rib like an anemone. It can almost look like a clear ric mushroom.
Has anyone come across something like this? I originally discovered one about a month ago... then it disappeared... the reappeared... now there are three...
It can be seen (not well) dead center of the first picture

Sounds like aptasia - kill them quickly they spread like wild fire. As they close they "spawn" and create more nems.

Its really tough to see from the picture, but from that and the description you gave, the common name is "ball anemone," which is what the link below is for. I would google that and see if thats what it looks like... if it is, from the info I know they are not a problem and could be left alone, correct me if Im wrong though....

If its not a ball anemone then it could be Apasia, which you should kill
Sounds like aptasia - kill them quickly they spread like wild fire. As they close they "spawn" and create more nems.
When you do kill them, make sure to read up on how to do it right, because if you dont, when they feel threatened, they spawn many many eggs, making the problem even worse. In my experience, Apasia X worked the best... follow the directions on the box and you should be all set, if not, you caaaan get a peppermint shrimp, but those arent guaranteed to eat it, and while I had mine, it nipped at the other corals as well (rare, but it does happen)
Hope this helps

I agree though I also cannot see the picture well. I currently have
one in my tank and have had a couple before in another.
They seem to enjoy being unbothered in lowlight spots.
I've never found them to be a nuisance even in the smallest of nano tanks.
Online you'll find posts of folks feeding them minced seafood but I have a fishless tank & feed it nothing but the algae I scrape off of the walls & it does fine, like the rest of the tank corals do.

Does yours look like this?
I have a few in my tank and I love them. I think they might be NPS so I feed mine. Your reef will look more diverse with them in there.

Mine are so small right now its hard to tell. They do seem to be trying to form a solid color at the center so I'm pretty sure they are not aptasia or the like.
I think I'll let them grow for a while and see what happens. It would be nice for a change to have something good happen to my tank!
I'll post some picks in a few weeks to show the change
