Nerite snail shells

I received my order from Reefcleaners (thank you, very happy). Most of the large nerite snails have something on their shells. They actually looked like little starfish at first, but then I noticed at the center a small fan of feathers pops out. Anyone know what this is? I'd say over 50% of them have at least one, some have more than one.

those are a small barnacle species, they top out at about the size you received them.
