I haven't gotten a clear answer to this....

I have a 12g that has been setup for 9 months but I got a free 24g JBJ so I was planning on transferring everything over with a new sand bed but same liverock and all of the old tank water. If I make sure the new water has the exact same parameters, can I just transfer everything straight over? Also, do you think I will have to worry about a cycle? I am not sure what the best way to go about this project. Thank you for your help.

I think so but not sure experts should chime in

Yes you can transfer everything to the 24g, your bacteria colony is set up to handle your fish & inverts now, why would you think the tank will cycle again, unless you let your rocks sit out of water? I would not add more than 1 new fish at a time, & in your case probably only 2 more fish total.

I just want to do the transfer in a day since I want to new tank in the same location as the 12g. I just wanted to make sure since I have a good amount of money invested in my coral. Thank you both for your replies.

+1 on no cycle. Just do the transfer quick. So cool getting a bigger tank. Good luck

Thanks! I have a 40B that I am building too, but this 24g is very tempting.
