mp40s on reefcrest, constantly needs readjusting

I find myself having to readjust the mp40s alot with this mode. The wetside will start to rattle and I will adjust it only for the speed to change and the rattle will start again. Its not consistant though. Sometimes they are good for a day or two and sometimes Im adjusting them 6-7 times a day to get the rattle out. Are these really that picky? I kept them on constant speed for a few weeks and rarely, if ever, had to adjust them but thats not why I got them. Is this normal or maybe bad wetsides?

Have you tried disassembling and cleaning the wetside? It's very possible that algae/calcium buildup are causing the noise and preventing your wetside from running properly. Do you have the dryside pin spacer properly aligned in accordance to your aquarium thickness?

Ya pin spacer is set correctly. I havent tried cleaning the wetside since these are only about 2 months old but Ill give it a shot.
