Hello, Got rid of some big colonys so we can re aquascape 1/2 of our tank do to an anemone that just got too big and is stinging corals.
Thought we would take all the LR out of the tank on that side and redo maybe w/ some acrylic rods. Thought we would blow off all the LR in a trash can of W/C water.
Our tank is a 150 mixed reef with about 25 sm-med SPS and some bigger frogspawn, candycane, and 12 fish.

Anything special we need to watch out for?

Thanks in advance

Gently remove the rock and avoid as little shaking in the tank. Try to keep debris release to a minimum. Plan to do a water change after removing the rocks and keep an eye on your parameters.

you will have to post how it goes... I am in the same situation of thinning out some colonies and would like to know how it goes.

Remove rock carefully. While you are removing the rock you should turn all pumps off to keep the current from blowing debris off while you are taking the pieces out. When putting the rock back in also take a head count of your fish, some like to go under the rock you are putting back in or take a ride on its way out. For aquascaping, don't make a wall of it. Make it a pillar or island and maybe try to give it a large base and smaller top to give your corals more room to grow and your fish more room to swim. GL!
