My 55 gallon corner overflow tank came in a package including a filter, protein skimmer, pump, and a DeepBlue Professional SolarMax H.O. 48" lighting fixture with two bulbs (one daylight, other actinic). However, the entire fixture has only one cord for the moonlights, daylight bulb, and actinic. I am wishing to be able to put the lights on a timer, and use the actinic bulbs for a sunrise/sunset simulation. If I were to replace this fixture, do you have any particular recommendations for fixtures that could possibly have more power? Or am I getting the most power I can get without drying up and overheating the tank (I do not have a chiller). I am looking for a fixture that could have either separate cords for each light, or a built in timer. I know Metal Halide lamps would be way too hot for this tank set up, but I am interested in keeping at least one anemone in the future.
