Can someone link me to threads about these? I am planning to build one later this year, but can't seem to find many good threads about them.

Thinking mostly sps and clams.

Thanks!
Tim

Caesar's Palace has a very nice couple of ponds in their education "field trip" classroom connected to the Atlantis. They're pretty simple. I believe one is a prefab pond and the other is pond liner construction with metal halide pendant lighting.

I will get some photos when my Cub Scout Pack goes there next Monday.

Are the kids working on their gambling merit badge? :)
Looking forward to seeing the pics of the salt water ponds

I'm going to follow along on this Tim. I liked the pond idea from the first time I walked into Ocean Treasures back in the early '90s. I've thought about experimenting in our sunroom with a high mounted fixture, and really tight optics. Maybe even mount a Sola-Tube over it for more consistent natural light and use fewer LEDs for suppliment.

The only reason I would never do a SPS pond is the amount of flow you need would keep the surface so disturbed you wouldnt be able to see anything in the pond.

Other then that its just a regular old tank.

Of course not!

That's Boy Scouts.

Naturally, as soon as I post that response, I find out that they're doing renovations and short staffed, so the trip is cancelled. I will dig up the photos from our last visit.
