Lunar lights

Want to incorporate some into my system been looking at 2 of them. Neptune lunar simulator and R2 solutions. Would like to simulate te lunar phase but it depends on how good they are. Read alot of positive things on the R2 module wish it had a controller. My question is if I got with one or the other how many lights would I need of each? I own a 40 breeder.

Is there any evidence that this is beneficial? I've ran tanks for a few years, and I don't use moonlights or anything else. IMO there is better uses of money, but of course that is just my opinion.
