Ever since my GSM clowns began laying and tending eggs a few years ago my male has become a real "home body". He rarely strays more than a few inches from the nest even if he's not tending eggs. As a result he's been a bit thin for quite a while, but the female would grab a big chunk of frozen mysis and take it to him now and then. The problem is that now I have them in a bigger tank with more fish than before so I fully melt all the food before dropping it in. I'm afraid that now he'll get even thinner and may start to have problems. I try to direct food his way, but it just gets blown around before he can get it. Any ideas?

Use a turkey baster to get the food closer to him and target feed him. HTH.

Been trying, but the other fish swoop in and chase him off. Maybe I'll try to target feed him after dropping food for the other fish to keep them busy. Seems like a but of a pita to have to feed him this way for the rest of his life (my clowns are 10 yrs old).
