I'm in the process of setting up a custom 195 gallon SPS dominated tank. Up until now I've been running 400 watt Radiums on Galaxy ballasts in Lumenmax Elite reflectors, but may venture into t5 technology to save on heat and electric.

That being said, the tank is 72x26x24. Will a 10n bulb 60" Powermodule be enough light to cover the tank's footprint, or will the sides be dim and unable to support SPS...6 inches on each side.

Thanks in advance.

im debating the same situation, I have a 210 and am thinking about going with that same fixture. Are you going to do the 80x8 or 80x10?

I want to try the 80x8 if it will suffice. From what I see people say its fine.

The 60 covers my 60x30x25 perfectly-- 8 bulbs if that helps

I think you should be fine with the 60" x 8 bulbs (instead of 10)
I have a 8x24w on a 30x30x24" and coverage is great : I get about 180-200 PAR on the sandbed in the four corners..
10 bulbs on a 26 inch wide would be overkill IMO

I have a 48" fixture over my 60" wide tank but I have my rockwork about 2"-3" off the glass all the way around. I have no problem keeping the low light SPS out to the sides and I keep all my LPS out there and on the sandbed

I agree 8 should do fine

8x80w Sunpower will work nicely and save money.

My 8x80W Tek Lights do well in my 72 x 24 x 24. There's minimal to no shading at the ends, and I'm sure ATI would be even better.
