Who would of thought, that you could frag with rusty, dirty hammer, screw drivers, and nail clipprs!!

thats one way to put it....
but who do you know that "NEEDS" a rusty hammer to bash corals because they are growing soo big and thick.... i can snap mine with my fingers... but i can guarantee that you cant do that with his!!

i would love to have to bash my corals because there were too healthy haha

It was a comparison test between AI sol led , PS hyperion and t5 lamps.
The frags where placed in the best place under these lights and measered and also i look how many they put on weight.
They where around two months under the lamps, the same frags and the same water off course.
There is another video from it at the end of the testing.

I have no choice, one oment they become really too big,it was over 55 a 60 cm and shattered many corals,it is growing back to his size:eek1:Impressive! :eek1::eek1::eek1:
why did you frag it after letting it grow so big? Such a beautiful coral.

It's normal putty,i prefer this because you have some time too put your frags into the stones,i'l buy it in big:lolspin:What are you putting the frags on? Is that just normal 2 part reef epoxy? You must go through a ton. Beautiful tanks I would love some of those stunning big frags.

Unreal corals. Most all of us are not use to fragging corals that large inside a tank. There really is no better way to do it. Next step up would be explosives. lol

Any chance we could beg you to host up some high resolution pictures of your tank? The pictures in the Tank of the Month thread are awfully small. We can't nearly fully appreciate your tank in all its glory.

how large is that display tank?608-610 gallons by my calculations (depending on whether you use his Metric or American tank measurements).

Hi Luc, can you tell us more about your conclusion on the led fixtures? I'm not sure I have understood the right thing on zeewaterforum... I really have a bad dutch speaking and reading ability. Even with google translate.

BTW, when could I come for some frags?

Thanks.

Hi Steeve,in short, the PS hyperion and the sol work fine but for nthe frag tanks the ai sol is better but still much more expensive than t5 tubes, the moment that i break even is around 4 years and that is too long,i also find the corals more colorfull beneat t5 lightning.
In around 4 weeks you can come, the tank is going down:eek1:Hi Luc, can you tell us more about your conclusion on the led fixtures? I'm not sure I have understood the right thing on zeewaterforum... I really have a bad dutch speaking and reading ability. Even with google translate.

Like i said too steeve, they work but they are too expensive too compair whi t t5 tubes,on the maintank the MH and the t5 tubes will stay for at least one year, then we will see aaing.im also eager to hear about the design and conclusions of your led experiment!

MH 4x400 watt AM 13 K and 16 x 80 watt t5,8 blue and 8 aquablue special from ATI. what lights do you use over your display tank?

I think Luc is saying that he's fragging his main tank (at floor 0) and sending all his frags to his frag-technical room (downstairs in the ceilor) :) so going down :).

Luc, I contact you in middle of Jully to see when I can come :).

Thanks.

Just to clarify your mounting dose frags in one massive epoxy and not on a piece of rock?

Wow! I was just searching the internet for belgian reefs to visit and came across this. Amazing! Im going to visit brussels and brugges, belgium this october got any must see aquariums i can see? It can be stores or hobbiest willing to show their tanks. i travel alot and try to connect with other reefers around the world to see their tanks and visit their home towns. i actually started a thread on this that became thread of the month and is now a permanent sticky thread in the sps forum. im coming with my wife for our vacation but i think she'll be alright if i take some time to see some awesome reefs! Thx
