View Full Version : Favia Tentacles!

Got a Favia today and now the lights are out, the tentacles extend! My specimen is only about 2 in. in diameter but damn some of these tentacles are 2 inches long!

Amazing for 1st night! I'm not sure it's my amazing water quality or that Marine Snow stuff. :bounce3:

Many corals will put out their sweeper tentacles at night in an act of self defense. Its a cool sight to see definitely :)

Get some pics....I haven't seen my favia tentacles out at all

I've had 2 inch favias put out 4 inch sweepers! They are also good for food capture, not just defense.

It's like that, thin, clear with white tip. Some of mine are short, like .5 cm.

Keep other corals well out of the favia's reach!
