Hi,
If you follow the above tips(MSG #5), there should not be any residue.
Is it sand like, or paint like(covering the sides and the bottom)?

Feel free to send me a PM with a picture.

*Usually all mails are answered within 2-4 days, unless there is a typo in the return mail and then we fail to reply.
My apologies if you didn’t get your answer.
I’ll be more than happy to help you over our forum.

All the best,
Aviad

It is sand like... it looks in different kinds of yellowish like sand and it feels like sand.

It's not too much but it is enough to form a deposit in the bottom of the container... it's heavy since the pump (1000l/h in 30l container) can't bring them up unless i blast the spot directly with the outflow

I've done a 2nd mix and it seemed fine this time but i was wondering if this was normal somehow.

As for the mixing i did all the steps from above... as i always do. Never had any problems with different brands.

I know that a small deposit can sometimes form in the bottom in high Ca and KH salts but never had this kind of sandlike deposit before.

Hi,
As I said it shouldn’t happen, if you managed to get the second batch clear, just keep doing what you’re doing.
Slow addition and sprinkling of the salt would assist in keeping the solution clear.
It might have been Calcium Carbonate or even sand particles, even though if it was send, you should have seen it in the second batch as well.
To be on the safe side mix your salt with a stronger pump or make smaller batches using the current one.
All the best,
Aviad

On the 2nd batch i tought i didnt clean the container well... so i assumed the 2nd batch was ok. Maybe it was cleaned and the small residue was a new one...

Today i mixed the 3rd batch and noticed sand again... it's a mix of yellow, white and black particles, just random like sand.

Is this sand particles normal in this salt? Does it leach anything to salt mix?

Hello... sending 2 hi-res pictures of the sand in the bottom of the container... before this new batch of salt there was nothing inside

and this is after the mixing

Now is this a normal thing to happen? Does it alter anything in the quality of the salt mix? Anything leeching from there?

That's a 30liter mixture... now you can see it's quite some sand in there...

Regards

out of curiosity does this little bit of sand pose a problem? What problems could occur from such a small amount of residue. To me it looks like like about quarter of a teaspoon.I use the same salt and get ever so slight grit in the bottom but I just assumed this was normal and never worried about it.I think the salt great , mixes quick and I've never had a problem .:rolleye1:

Hi,
There is no risk using the salt.
It’s uncommon to get sand it the salt, but it might happen since we are using raw materials harvested from the Red Sea instead of land mining and artificial production of raw materials.
In addition, the amount as shown in the picture is negligible.
