This is the start of my acan garden, plan on getting as many of the buggers as I can for the bottom of the tank!

That colony used to have about 40 heads, I fragged them and gave them away and traded stuff for them. They are the fastest growing of the bunch. In about 3 years it will be back to the 40 or 50 heads it was. Those were the first acans I ever bought.

Do you transfer the Acans to a new rock for it to grow or do you just put it next to a rock and it will grow into it? I have just few polyps which look crowded already on a frag Plug

im becoming an acan fanatic real fast, keep those bad boys coming, im on the lookout for a nice green colony:thumbsup:

After cutting them, I put the colony that I am keeping on a flat rock and leave it there for ever until next year or the year after.

I do feed them, sometimes mysis, krill, flake food, brine shrimp. Just what ever I have on hand for the fish.

2+ on the mysis. Spot feeding is key! My motto is to keep them puffy and full.

THe front left ones are really nice. Polyps are nice and full!
