Puffer won't sleep anymore? Turned up flow

I had to turn my power heads up because of cyano that has came up since I started lowering my sg for hypo. Now my puffer won't sleep at night. U used to attach himself to a rock and would sit there until the lights come on. Now he just cruises all night long. Is this harmful at all? He eats fine and otherwise everything is normal

Mine sleeps at night too. Can't you just put the pumps on the same timer as your lights?

My puffer kind of hovered or sat on the bottom at night.

Yeah I'm gonna have to try that. Was just curious if that was the problem or if the drop in sg was bothering him. Hopefully that helps. He doesn't look sleep deprived. Always active following my tang around

My porky would sleep all night and the stars and stripes would never stop swimming 24/7, cant imagine what kinda life that would be but he looked like he was having fun.

If he's eating and looks healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. I also read somewhere that some puffers are nocturnal, don't quote me on that part.

Unless it's health looks on the decline, don't worry is my advice.
