This pink macroalgae just showed up in my nano a year or so ago. I have never seen anything like it. It on the bottom of a 12 gallon nano under a pair of 18 watt CF bulbs. It looks like a plating coraline but is not calcareous. It is fleshy and rubbery, but not slimy. The largest leaves are the size of a nickel. It has only grown on this particular rock. It started smaller and has grown across nearly the whole rock, but has not shown up anywhere else in the tank. Any ideas on what this is?

I could try and guess they may be "Spanish Dancer" eggs? but this looks more like a pink "lettuce algae" really..

ahhhh dang it sure looks like that....not a good one to have by the looks of it and shading it out isnt going to do squat i guess...removal of the rock is out of the question, it is a bottom piece that is pivotal (literally) to my rock scape. looks like i am on a quest for padina eradication...thanks for the help...OP sorry for the side track.
