I just installed 2 AI Sol Blues parallel to the front of my glass about 10 inches awl. I am pretty bare in the coral department currently. My peak settings hit 35 WH 40 BL and 40 RY. I just picked up 2 SPS frags yesterday. This tank has been established for 10 years but recently just did my upgrade to lighting and flow. Bought 2 MP40wes. Love them.

So everyone says to start slow, but since I didn't have much to start with, should I be raising the intensity? I don't want these SPS to. It have enough light.

Let them acclimate to the new tank for a few weeks then slowly raise the intensity every other week.

What are your tank dimensions?

Need way more info.

Tank dimensions?

What are you keeping?

What was your old lighting?

Do you have a PAR meter? Can you borrow one?

Start Low and work your way up is a blanket statement that most people throw out with out knowing the facts. A good start would be 400ish par up top and 150ish par on the sand. Obviously depending on the livestock. Pics would help as well.

I have a 24x24x18 tank. One sol blue 10'" AWL. I run

89% w
100%B
100% RB

all day for 9 hrs
500 par up top in the center and grow sps like crazy

150 par on the sand around the outsides
