How many corals can be added to a tank at once?

I eventually would like to order some corals online and would get free shipping if I ordered quite a few. I know that corals don't add too much of a bio load to a tank but I was just curious how many one could add at a single time? could I get away with adding ten frags?

Add as many as you feel comfortable with.
Just remember, you'll have to observe and move them if some don't look happy where they;re first placed.

Start slow, just in case they don't do well. Once you have established that the ones you have are doing well and growing....then go to town if you'd like. Just don't go buy 20 frags today to have them all die within a month because of an issue you weren't aware of.

My opinion....going slowly is always better, and less expensive in the long run!

Good point mess, I think what I'll do is get 1 or 2 frags and see how those go and then if they do well I'll move on to more frags.

Thanks guys

Less likely to have a mass grave when you go slow, but if everything is good, you'll be fine.

Yea, not a bad idea to try a few as the 'canaries in the coal mine' first. But IME the corals don't add a large bio load on the system like fish. I would consider adding 5-10 corals in the same 2-3 week time that I would normally slowly add fish load to a system. JMTC & GL!
