PaddyOB's 70G Mixed Reef

Hello hello.

This is not a new build. This current system is about 18 months old.

Equipment:
70 Gallon display
40 Gallon sump (30G water volume)
Koralia 3, Koralia 2
Quiet One 3000 return
2 x TLF150 (1 x ROX carbon, 1 x ECOBAK pellets
Tek Light 48" x 6 bulb
Euroreef RS100 skimmer

Stock:
Yellow Tang
Coral Beauty
2 x Occellaris Clowns
Tailspot Blenny
Firefish
Neon Goby
Lyretail Anthias (Male)
Sixline wrasse

Corals.... this is a mixed reef. I have between 60-70 different pieces.

Various LPS, SPS, Softies and a Gorg.

This is, again, and relatively mature tank, so you will just have to follow my build from here.

I will attach a few photos later today to get it started.

1) reinforcing/rebuilding a support structure around the stand to hide my gear and keep the soon to be born baby out!

2) installing a dedicated circuit breaker for the tank and electrical panel within the stand for isolating pumps and what not for feeding time or maintenance.

3) reservoir system to pump clean salt water or top up water directly from the basement to the tank.

Full tank shot. Fairly recent. I built the canopy. Simply a skirt around bottom until get to the cabinet.

Saw you were having trouble ato. You posted it in the lounge with is just filled with weird folks as you can see by your thread.

Sounds like you Res water level is higher than you sump. Two way to solve this... lower the Res or raise the outlet of the ato so that its higher that the Res.

I got her figured.

I pump to the top of the res where it drops into 1.5" pipe, then simply drains into the sump.

No more siphoning. Works FANTASTIC!
