I have a tang he eats algae, but I see green slimy algae like thing in dt glass.

Is this the vermatids slime?....i don't see this green thing in rocks.even my yt doesnt eat this.

Anyone else noticed this?

Also any needle nose plier I get is bound to have grease, how can I fully remove it before I go on a killing rampage for vermatids?..

Thx:D

Vermetid slime is clear to white. Never seen green. That's probably some kind if algae.

I used a pair of pliers I had for a while so they weren't real greasy. I washed them off first to be safe. Had them in the tank for about 10min and no issues. Won't rid yourself of them but can easily keep them in check. Good luck man!

Don't treat the problem, treat the cause. What happens when you put a fish or invert in that eats the snails, then starves after they're all gone? Maybe the water quality in the tank is causing a population spurt.
