I have finally got all the RO DI water in my 66 gallon ( 250 litre ) aquarium.
How many cups of salt do i need to put in my tank? ( i am using the 160 gallon instant ocean reef crystals )

You just ball park it with the direction on the bucket then adjust with a refractometer or hydrometer.
I think thats:
use 1/2 cup of Instant Ocean salt for each U.S. gallon of water.
That makes ~1.021 I think so you might need more.
A refractometer or hydrometer is used to dial in exactly to 1.024-1.026 level.

I have never one time actually measured the finite amount of my salt mix. lol I'm mixing 40-80 gallons at a time so it takes allot for me. I dump a bunch in. let it mix for a half hour or so. Measure with refractometer, do a rough calculation of sg vs how much I dumped in and then either dump the same amount or less. takes me a couple hours to get it right but I have never gone over and i let mine mix in the Brute cans for several hours anyway. No big hurry.

If you use a container like the one you get a SMALL soup in from the Chinese restaurants.
Fill it level it will get you very close for a 5 gallon mix @ 1.022 or 23.
