Avast auto top off. It works by pressure not a float valve.

I have the JBJ. The float sticks frequently even after a thorough cleaning, so I wouldn't recommend it. It's unreliable. Had replacement floats, same issue. I am not alone with this problem either.

I use a Tunze Osmolator and I love it, not unreasonably priced either, and it comes with a pump, and has a fail safe cutoff float sensor with an alarm. Wouldn't settle for anything else since I bought this one.

Tunze Osmolator - best money I've spent on equipment. It just flat out works. Little expensive but considering it has an optical sensor, a backup float switch that is not exposed to the water, and a timed shut off... I feel better knowing I paid a little more upfront to not worry about paying later to have a flooded house cleaned and repaired.

Tunze! Peace of mind for sure! Have had mine for four years with no issues at all. Holds my sump level within 1/8 of of an inch.

I run a BRS 50ml dosing pump with two float switches in the sump hooked up to my apex. one float switch controls the pump on and off and the other switch is just a backup incase the first somehow fails. The BRS dosing pump is located in my garage about 6ft above my RODI holding tank, it is then pumped across my house into my sump. water level, in the sump, stays within 1/8" and the pumps runs for a few minutes a couple times an hour. Works flawless and didnt cost much. very good setup IMO

Can the Tunze be used with Kalk in the TO water?

I see some have had good experience with autotopoff.com. I was looking at one of there nano with double switch units. Not bad for only 50 bucks. It is only going on a 40 gallon. Any thoughts? Will this work on a 40 gallon?

Autotopoff will work fine. just need to make sure every 2 -4 weeks you clean the floats so they do not stick. They will stick open at the worst time. A toothpick inserted into each of the 4 holes on each float will most likly prevent this.

Okay thanks for the advice. I just cant justify spending 130 on optical.

Also forgot to mention the new Tunze Osmolator has a magnet holder now, no longer using brackets. Even cleaner/quicker installation.

JBJ floats are fussy. Aqualifter is trouble free.
