What ip address are you using when trying to connect from outside the network? I was using the apex ip address but it should be your public ip address. Www.whatismyip.com

I'm new to this though

First, disable DHCP in the Apex. This will prevent the Apex's IP address from changing, so that the port forwarding will always be pointing to the proper IP address for the Apex.

Then, find your public IP address as ryeguy suggests. Use the browser on your phone in cellular data mode (WiFI turnd off) to test using a URL of http://public-ip-address (http://%3Ci%3Epublic-ip-address%3C/i%3E)

Your port forwarding looks good. If you still cannot access the Apex, then your ISP is probably blocking port 80. If that's the case, pick a 4-digit number (one you can easily remember) between 1027 and 9999. Use that number in the Start and End ports in the router port forwarding rule instead of 80. Also, change the Apex http port to that same number. Save network settings, reboot the Apex, then test again.
