Electrical conduit pvc okay for our reefs?

Found some nice fittings for a project but can't find them in sch 40 or sch 80 pvc. This has a rough surface. How would I go about finding the safety on the thing?

I have a couple of pieces of the grey electrical conduit (the long, sweeping 90 degree turns) in my system. They've been in there for a couple of years with no issue.
