Is there a way to induce regular mushroom coral into dividing or reproducing?
Do they get really big, then divide or is it triggered by stress or something? Ive seen massive mushrooms at my lfs though.

I tend to see my mushrooms split in lower light. I had them in my 75 gallon (18") depth and they never split, but in my 120 (24" depth) they are splitting and growing like crazy.

Also, they tend to like "dirty" water more then super low nutrient systems.

Just make sure their happy, the above post about them liking dirtier water than other corals and a little lower light seems to be pretty accurate to me.

Haha. I just upgraded my lights. I'll put them down even lower in the tank. Thanks guys =D

Once they are happy you will wish they didn't grow so much. At least that is my experience:)

Thx,
