Need ID help on new find

I was preparing for my weekly WC when the lights came on. Took the chance to take a good look over the DT fresh in the moring to see what I could find. On my green star polyps I found this yellow/green sponge like thing with a tube in the center. Looking over the rest of the polyps I found another patch but without the central tube, at least for now.

Any idea what it is and whether it is safe. I'm working toward a mixed reef system, currently FO except for the green star which I have 2 groupings - one on each end of the DT. Thanks for your help.

Harmless filter feeder, it's a sponge or tunicut

Thanks, I thought it was just a sponge but was not sure. Also trying to be ahead of the game in case of a bad apple showing up. Easier to attck early than after an explosion.
