Please have a look at my 30 gal sump design and gave me your comments. Also my sump are setup in the basement and go up to the ground floor. The height is about 14' up to the top of the tank. Let me know if the pump that I am going to use is work.

Thanks,

Anyway you can make your drawings bigger? Hard to read in my old age. :)

From your drawing you have the middle for return pump. The baffles from the skimmer area do have to be that high I make it to what the skimmer water height then you do not need a stand for it.

As pump needs to be Danner mag-drive 1800 or PanWorld 150PS External Water Pump.

Your siphon break hole will do nothing to break the siphon.

I would get rid of as many of those 90deg elbows and straight shot into T's. They will slow your drain and make a horrible gurgling problem.

Just my $.02

I want to keep the baffles high because I want to keep the water level high in the return pump. I want to have enough water to evaporate for 1 week and water change @ 20%. As for stand the skimmer that I am planning to use SWC120 require 5-8" water level so I raised the stand to keep the skimmer at 8" water level. As for external water pump, do you need to install bulkhead below water level to connect to external pump? I don't want to drill my tank because I don't know my tank is temper glass or not plus I don't feel comfortable drill a hole in a glass tank.

Thanks
