Hi, I am a tunze user in China.
I currently running 4 6105 controled by a 7096, in a 150 * 80 * 65 cm (58 deep water) tank, and find that however i adjust the controlor and the direction of the 6105, the flow is not enough. using standard 18V plug.
Is that normal ? I am running "pulse" only mode, with 50 - 100 power, and the little white screw is at the max power too.

question 2, is I switch to the 24V plug (which I do not have now), will the pump have theoretically 24/18 = 1.3333 time more power than using 18V ?
if yes , I'd buy some 24V plug immediatly.

Thanks !

Yes, the 24V increases the flow about 30%.

In general 4 pumps at 18V should be enough flow for this size tank.

thanks Roger,

I've been told that 4 6105 is enough too. I am wondering why I feel the flow so week.

have you received any complain on 7096 controller that it as somehow limited the 6105 output ?

and one onother thing that happen to my 7096 is : in a intervel mode, for example 1 hour, that should be 2 pumps runing and 2 pumps stop for 1 hour right ? but the stoped 2 pumps will run maybe every 2-5 minutes, for very very short time say 0.x s. it has this problem since it's new. and I have updated the newest firmware but this problem still exists. Have you heard of this kind of problem before ? is that possible my controller have some quality problems ? and the same reason why may pumps running so weak ?

The "off" pumps should actually turn 1 time every 20 seconds, this function is "fishcare" and is in the pump manual. It is designed to scare away a small fish that may try to go in the pump when it is off. It may be that for 6-7 times it only twitches a 1/4 or 1/2 turn and then turns 1-2 turns so you notice it more and it seems like every 2-5 minutes but it should move a little every 20 seconds.

Do the pumps seem stronger when no controller is used? If so is it possible night mode is on and the pumps are stuck at 50% power because the photocell is in a dark location? I have not heard of the controller reducing the power of the pumps if it is not set to do so. 100% should be the same as no controller.

Thanks for your input Roger !

I didnt noticed that fuction. The very very long English manual is really hard work for a foreigner you know .. .

I'll check the compare the power when it is no controlled.
