I have a few bits of this stuff popping up in my nano. Is this as bad as I think it is? (Bryopsis)

Looks pinnate... fairly consistent with Bryopsis.

If its not bryopsis it could be a Caulerpa.

How do you get rid of that stuff? Anything that will eat it?

It depends on what it is. Very few reef safe herbivores seem to find bryopis palatable but there is a great deal of info out there about controlling bryopsis with Mg.

If it is caulerpa, Almost any herbivore will eat it. You could try a small urchin, a tang, a small crab (Hermit, mithrax) You could try a Turbo snail. I find turbo snails won't eat algae that is too long for them but will eat that same algae if you prune it back for them. I have some derbesia in my system and it only grows in places where the snails can't get to. Like on the base of my oldest gorgonian.

How much of this do you have?
