just picked up a marineland 27g cube with stand, was on sale plus got an extra 30% off cuz someone had stolen the worthless led light that is suppose to go with it. lol. anyways, i would like to drill it and add a sump but the area underneath to work with is 19"x17" and the door opening is 20.5"tall and 15" wide. So i cant find much info on what a sump would look like down there ??? i at least want to put a nice skimmer with a constant water lever area, refugium and top off also might be asking too much ??

please if there is something out there that im not finding please share on designs or layouts or the best thing i can do, not much an experts on sumps but i want to do this correctly. Thanks

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am thinking of having something custom built, removing the bottom of the stand, placing the sump in, and them re-attaching the bottom (or I suppose I could just leave it off too assuming things would be structurally sound).

I have the Marineland 27 cube with a sump under it. If you are still having issues, hit me up and I will tell you what I did and show you pictures.

First post to Reef Central.
I too had issues finding a sump to fit my tank with similar dimensions. I ended up building a 16.5"X17.5" 3 chambered sump. I have since rethought using the hoses that come with the tom aquatics rapids overflow because it is ridiculously loud, I want to switch to hard line soon.
