This would be to replace the big Magnum 7 pump (2700gph) that I have in my 75g. I have a bit too much flow - also have a Tunze 6065 and a Koralia 4 - for my elegance coral, and I don't want to dish out $80 for a Magnum 5 when I'll eventually buy a Vortech.

Has anyone tried the Aqueon powerheads? Drs. F&S has them on sale. The model 1650 (1650gph) is $47.59, and I already have a $32 credit, so it makes sense to try it unless people tell me it is awful.

I have heard mixed reviews on the Koralia Evolution pumps, and I'd like just a bit more oompf than their largest pump...

I hooked up a maxi jet 900 with the circulation attachment yesterday and was surprised by the amount of flow it produced. It's an eye sore, but for temporary flow and $20 it's a good option. Plus it's always good to have spare maxi jets.

Hey, thanks. I probably should have mentioned that a magnet mount w/exact directional pointing is pretty important. I guess that narrows it down, doesn't it?
