How many pounds of sand?

I have a new 220 gallon tank. 96x18 wide.

How many pounds of sand do you guys think I need? thanks so much!

how deep do you want the sand bed?

you can go as much or as little as you want. Less sand, will require more outside filtration (LR, sump, fuge, etc)

Is an inch and a half good? Thats thick enough right?

My newest tank has less than an inch, tank with a pistol shrimp has over two inches, depends on what you want to keep in the tank. If it's just for aesthetics go shallow, if you have a target species make sure it's deep enough for that animal.

Ok ya Mine is purely for looks. So I think I will go shallow. Here is a photo of my tank.
