Looking for a little advice on where to place some dark blue/purple SPS colonies. I have a couple of small colonies that have turned to brown over time that are mid level in a 30" deep tank. Growth seems to be average, and they are healthy colonies.
Water chemistry is good, running GFO, carbon, dosing vodla, etc. CA 430 ALK 7, MG 1350, dosing iodine etc. All other colors are really bright in the tank. I am running 2 x 250W Hamilton 14K's and Blue Plus t5's for supplementation.
Right now I am thinking that these colonies are either getting too much, or too little light. Do colonies need a lot of light for the blues to come out, or is this more of a deep water color?
