What would you recommend to light a 240 gallon cube? It's 48" L x 48" L x 25" H. Thinking of keeping a mixed reef with SPS and LPS corals and lighting it with LED hood or pendant. Haven't made up my mind yet. I like the look of the new DIF LED pendants just unsure which model would work on the setup that I have. I like the bluer look to bring out the colors. Also wondering are the LED chips interchangeable and is there a fan to keep the ballast and the LEDs cool? Just wondering in case I purchase something and decide the look isn't for me anymore and want to swap out the LED chip for another color spectrum. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

The DIF-100 is your best choice for this tank.
It can cover 48" X 48" with the 120 lens.
If you like the bluer light you can choose the 20000K.
I would add a DIF-50B to give the actinic before and after the main lighting (the DIF-100).

As Moshe stated, the Dif 100 is the best choice. I would use two with 120˚ lenses. The 20K multi chip is blue enough for most peoples taste. The chip is easily swapped out in the future. If you want a really blue colour we can provide a chip we use for retail stores to showcase coral fluorescence and pigmentation.
The Dif 100 multi chip has a more natural shimmer and the colours mix more evenly than traditional LED arrays.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if there will be a dimmable version of these pendants in the near future?
