Common name, rock anemone would be my guess.

I've never seen a rock anemone like that...

I don't know what species it is, but if it reproduces put me in line for when you wanna sell the babies! :) Congrats on your crazy looking find.

Here is another pic. It is attached to the rock and has a wide base. I never seen a rock anemone that looked like this. It came in an assorted frag bag and LFS did not know what it was.

Descriptions for Urticina coriacea contradict what I'm seeing in your pics.

My guess is Epicystis crucifer.

It's not crucifer. I can't be sure what it is, but I know it's not curcifer.

I think it might be a Cribinopsis albopunctata (http://actiniaria.com/cribrinopsis_albopunctata.php) (a.k.a. Urticina lofotensis). If so a temperate species not really a reef anemone; I do not know if it can handle the high temperature in the long run.

Those anemones are a dime a dozen in the Gulf Coast, they're everywhere in jetties in Port Aransas. Not really a reef anemone. It was probably caught in the gulf and then traded to the pet store. I usually leave them alone when I catch things on the coast.
