Help fish died

here is a picture of a damsel that died a day ago. my question is did this fish have a disease and if so could it have contaminated my tank.

If it was fresh water I would say mouth rot, or a bacterial infection. But the fish is sick

Very doubtful. But these little damsels are sure capable of doing real damage to the peace in any tank....just my opinion.:)
