I just went from 1 (250 W) heater to 2 (125 W)....my tank was at 79*, I put the two heaters in set at 79* (although I know that can vary a lot) and within 2 hours my tank was over 80, turned them down to 77, couple hours later (and after the lights were out), tank was almost to 82. I just turned them down again. Am I setting something wrong - I just turned the dial to have the arrow point to the temp. I did nothing with the calibration? Also when adjusting the temp, how far can I pull the heater out of the water safely - I have to move it out more than the "min water level" in order to read it. thanks!

I find the temp gauge on the ebos are pretty useless, even when I try and calibrate them.

do you know how to calibrate them by pulling the little button up?

you do not want to pull it out of the water past where the heating element starts, it can get really hot quick when out of the water

thanks, no i don't know how to calibrate...not even sure why I'm supposed to? I now have the gauge down to lower than 77 and tank is still at 80+ (heaters are in sump).
