View Full Version : Bulb placement order and acclimation

I just received the bulbs (54W) for my ATI PowerModule fixture.
I bought 4 blue plus, 1 aquablue special, and 1 purple plus.
Which order, front to back, should I install the bulbs?
Should I acclimate the tank to the new bulbs? I have mostly softies, some sps, and a large clam near the surface.
I have the 4' fixture over a 75 gal. tank.

Yes you must acclimate corals to the fixture. ATI fixtures are strong, the PM's are mega strong(IMO stronger than 250w halides). Personally I would put the blues on as your 10 hour, and all bulbs 4 hours(that is once you get fully acclimated)

(1)So by acclimating should I adjust the height higher and slowly lower it?
(2)Should I change the duration of the lights being on?
