Pending my tax return, this will be my one purchase out of it. Bob has these at Exotic Fish and Corals but his price is way too high for a small frag. If you have any of this coral and would like to frag it soon so I can pick up in a few weeks that'd be great! Or if you have frags ready, even better! Let me know, thanks guys.

If you want to be sure that it's a true nepthea, make sure you ask for lineage. Green sinularia is often sold as nepthea and the two are nearly indistinguishable without looking at them under a microscope. The true nepthea grows much slower which is why it commands a high price tag. GL

It's just green sinularia at bobs. Don't be fooled!

Thanks for that tidbit Swanny. In all honesty, I just want the look. And at that, if it grows faster, I'd prefer it. So then a Green Sinularia frag would be good (and probably cheaper for me) too. Thank you so much for that info!

NP... another note. Green sinularia is allegedly extinct in the wild and only exists in aquaria at this point. Just one more reason for the excessive price tag...

Sounds like a job for the Frag Farmer's to me.

I'm sure someone there will have a piece of nepthea or a bright sinularia. I have a piece of Palau Nepthea from DFS, but even after a year it's still pretty small. If you aren't able to come across something you like at the FFM, shoot me a PM and I'll frag a piece for you.

I also have what one member swears is a fluorescent green nephthea. I bought a teeny frag from someone who said it was very rare. You are welcome to come by and check it out. Whatever it is, it's gorgeous and I am happy to frag inexpensively. Oh yes, it looks just like the pic I just googled up.

Leslie's coral, whether true nepthea or not, is amazing. The stuff just lights up under the blues. It is definitely my favorite coral in my tank.

I got one of Hiller's "screamin green sinularia" probably 5 years ago. It's been fragged multiple times and I'm guessing its the same as the green sinularia. Its really nice but at the moment its recovering with the rest of the system after all the mess we had this fall. Looks just like Leslie's.

I have one from dfs as well and it is definitely a slow grower. But if it takes off soon I got ya!

No need to wait, $15 and a good sized frag is yours. Mine is plenty big to share.
