I currently have a small tank with 2 menwell 48D for the led drivers and am running it with a RKL with the ALC unint and am totaly unhappy with it.

I am building a 200 gal system that will have 6 menwell 48d drivers on it 2 will be for whites the other 4 will be blues and mabey a few other colors.

I just want to know with the apex system do I have to add anything for it to control the 6 drivers ? with the RKL I would have to build a whole circut thing to get it to work right.

Will it let me dim the lights from 0-100% ? and when at 0 will the leds still be dimmly lit like with the rkl

I will not be moving the rkl over to the new tank and I am looking for a new controler not just for the leds :)

thanks for your time

The Apex not the Lite or the JR has 4 0-10vdc fully controllable ports built into the base unit. So to answer your question no there is nothing else to buy. I also have some DIY accent led lighting and when it's set to be off they are off not dim.

In addition to the controller itself, you will need to buy (or make) the necessary cables (http://www.neptunesys.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=69&category_id=17&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26).

so I should be able to just get one cable if I want the blue on one chan and the white on another ? or would it take 2 cables

AquaController Apex Probe: Standard Graph pHC-APEXEB8 $499.95

2 Channel Apex to Light Dimming Cable DIMCAB2 $14.95

So basicly with the 2 above items I should be able to do all the on and off stuff my RKL does and also be able to control 5 meanwell drivers 3 blue and 2 white on seperate intensity ?

Sorry to keep asking but I dont want another controller that will not do what I want it to do without an electrical engenering degree :)

Each cable assembly connects 2 channels.

You can control both the blue and white channels from one variable speed port. Each port has two channels. You have a total of 4 channels to play with.
