Looking for some help... I just got a few zoas 7 days ago, and one of them just wont open up. Right now they are in a 12 gallon tank with two 425GPH powerheads and a single rapid LED par38 80 optic light at 10 inches from the surface of the water and the zoas are 1 foot under water. My water parameters:
Temp:78-80
S.G: 1.026
ammonia:0
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:5-10 (will do more water changes)
PH:8.1
Alk:10
Mag:1330
calcium:400

Where they shipped to you? Did you pick them up at an LFS?
They might just be stressed from shipping and moving, zoas can take longer than 7 days to open up fully.
If this is not the case, you might want to dip them with revive or furan or both.
Also alk at 10 may be a bit high, I know it is in the accepted range bu 8-9 seems to be the sweet spot. Just my opinion, but it could be making acclimation a bit tough for them.

Give it some more time...
Normally would be good to dip any zoa before introduce them to the system.
Watch for marks, films, predators and algae on them.
But give it some time to rest from the trip.

To me this looks like a wild colony and these take more time to adjust to your tank than the aquacultured ones. It is a good idea to give them more time but also close watch them each day for marks, films etc etc. Ideally always dip them before introducing them in the tank..also you need to figure out are they deep water or shallow water. If you cannot, move them under a ledge or some shade and see if they open up, sometimes blasting them with 2 much light is also not good.
