We both got dive certified 2 years ago and did 10 dives on our honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico. I was dissapointed at the lack of corals, but it was still amazing. We have a higher dive budget this time since I don't have to pay for a luxury suite or a wedding. SHE WILL LIKELY NOT DIVE AGAIN THOUGH. So I will likely be going alone (2-3 dive trips if I'm lucky). So she needs somewhere fun for her too. I'm thinking this summer or fall (depending on if/when she is pregnant). I was leaning towards Thailand or Australia, but am open to suggestions.

I want to see tons of SPS (like my tank!). Not stupid sofites or non photo synthetics.

I also sold my dive watch but still have the other essentials, so a place w/ rentals would be cool.

Also, if it's a very long ways out, like over an hour boatride or really far out of the way from where she would be at, it would help to know in advance.

Thanks, I think I read a bit about phuket and will look into it more. Thank god one of her awful 'bachelor' shows was shot there... now she wants to see Thailand.
