the reason this crashed is cuz some jackass told me he insists that i put ph powder in my tank even though my ph was already fine, so 3 hours later everything was belly up, i went back to the store screamin at the owner tellin him his employee crashed my whole tank, he gave me a gift certificate for the amount of every fish that died wich was 8 and fired his employee, 3 weeks later i went back and he was workin there again, so i gave that as a gift to a friend of mine for his birthday lol, starting all over new and fresh, glad im here and have you all to answer my questions

Wow! That sucks. With the amount of time and money I have invested into my tank I would probably punch the person out that told me that my tank needed something added to it causing it to crash. Good luck with the new tank. Definitely keep track of your own parameters from now on. Thats the best way to know your tank

never ever try to make quick water parameter changes , if you do want to make changes it has to be done in minimal doses over a course of time , ph is one thing you shouldnt have to mess with . maybe your saltinity was low and you had a low ph . I keep mine at 1.026.This site is nice because you get all sorts of answers and go with the majority rules . Nice tank by the way . I see you figured out the photo bucket !

looks like a lot of fish (I count 9)...in a very new tank,
...I don't think anyone should be punched, fired or murdered, until you're sure whose fault it was!

i absolutely agree 100%...
that looks like a very small tank, with hang on filtration, and far too many fish... a tang and some anthias... your tank looks very sterile and not nearly the filtration to handle that bio-load...

the only reason i had all those fish in there is cuz somebody told me that it will be ok to have all them in there, this is a long time ago before i really read up on everything, now i know more and what not to do, he probably told me that would be alright just to make a sale on fish

There is almost no reason to use pH powder in a reef tank. You know better now, but many beginners chase that magic 8.2 value. They end up shooting alkalinity to 16 dkh and killing everything.
