I'm looking to put together a peninsula tank and I'm wondering what the maximum tank length I could feasibly have without needing to set up a closed loop system. This will be a softy and fish tank, maybe some macro. No SPS or LPS. I only want powerheads on one end of the tank... I'm willing to go big with a MP60 or Tunze 6305. Tank height will be 18", width will be 24". Thanks for the input!

Long as you want. Powerhead can do anything a close loop can...

Think they could move flow to the opposite end of an 8' tank though?

You can hide tunze in the rock work. If you have a dead space.

Sound like you are trying to make it 3 side viewable? Since you don't want pumps on the back wall?
