well after talking to a few ppl and googling im fairly sure i have a gorilla crab in my tank and also think hes responsible for at least 3 fish deaths and prolly 4 my blue spot jawfish and purple firefish and 2 reef chromis.after doing some research im gonna try the glass bottle trap baited with a peice of shrimp or fish whatever i have in the freezer lol.does anyone have any experience/success with removing these nasty things any help or advice would be great and much appreciated!

Well your timing is interesting because in about 10 minutes I will be trying to catch a gorilla crab that I have in my biocube. There was a piece of rock in my 46 gallon in which I would often see glimpses of something very dark looking -- some sort of crab, but nothing I bought or put in there and could never really get a good look at it. I decided to not flirt with danger and moved the entire rock into my biocube since there are no fish in there, just some crabs and snails and ghost shrimp. I pretty much forgot about him but today when I was starting to clean out the biocube I saw him and he's got black tipped claws and is hairy!

I don't know if I have the heart to kill him but I'm not sure what else to do with him. I could banish him to my sump but then I'll always be afraid to stick my hand in there. He's U G L Y! Good luck catching yours.....

Yup, got him... he's sitting in a small container of water while I figure out what to do with him. I won't get the chance to take him to an LFS tomorrow and I'm not sure how long he'll live in this small receptacle.

I knew someone on here was looking for one (although I can't imagine why) but if it was Muppet I haven't seen him on here in the past few days. If anyone wants a gorilla crab, he's yours.
