I have these overflows that have a little sandwich of space between the front wall and back wall of the overflow. There is water in there and I dont know if and or when it will be all evaporated. I was thinking of pouring bleach in there (diluted of course) but dont know if that would kill the Ich cysts.

Do we know for sure if bleach will do the job and at what concentration? I am sure it would kill them at full strength, but, I dont want to screw up my silicone seals either.

Roaming the threads, psteeleb found this, as I his post "
2) Bleaching the system with a minimum of 3 tsp. per gallon of chlorine bleach for 24 hours, then dumping, freshwater rinsing... ".

Can anyone confirm this? I would hate to try this just to find out my tank has ich again. Flushing 125 gallons of saltwater down the tubes to start over would suck, heh :hmm6:
