Or did the fish die and then they feed on him? The fish was fine yesterday. Now the sea star is in her corner behind the rock very busy. Percula is gone. She liked to lay in the sand. I wonder if the seastar got her or she died some other way.

I doubt a healthy clownfish would have any problems getting away from a sand sifting starfish. My guess is that the fish died for whatever reason and the star is just cleaning up the mess.

I guess its a brittle star.

I'm now down to 1 maxima, some mushrooms and a small percula and a royal gramma all sharing 90 gallons. think I'll do a water change and a filter clean out. No more fish going to be added for a while I think but I do feel sorry for the little percula. Maybe I should get him a friend?
