Hi everyone. I just wanted to share some fo the crazy fish I had the luck and opportunity to buy recently.

First I finally got my True Tongan Golden Sailfin Blenny! I haven't seen this fish for sale in literally Years! Here's a pic of it in it's acclimation box. It's a bit stressed, but It was golden yellow in the bag.

I know it's a true Tongan Blenny because it came in with a Tongan shipment of other fish including these TONGAN Flame Wrasse Pair, which I haven't seen in forever either:

Male in the acclimation box:

Female in the box:

And out cruising around:

The Female was a bit more shy. This is the best pic I could get of it:

These were bought at Reef Raft. Tony is like Santa Claus for reefers. You just tell him your wish list and Boom he gets it!

I finally gave in and bought this bad boy from DD a few days ago. I actually bought two, but one didn't make it the first night. I still feel terrible about it. I posted these pics in the Reef Fish forum too:

Wow you bought the Interruptus from DD? That is so awsome. I was eyeing those for the longest time, but I know my potter pair would destroy it.

Did you buy the true tongan blenny from a store? If so maybe you can let me know if they have another one...

Either way all great fishes!

Yeah, Tony at Reef Raft got it for me. But sorry, it was the only one. I told him a while ago I was looking for it and I got a call from him today. He got a Tongan shipment in and the Blenny was in it. I was like the Flash getting to his store. He didn't even get a chance to acclimate it to his system. He got two pairs of the Tongan Flame wrasse in too. But one pair went in his display tank and I yanked the other pair.

What kind of fish is that last one? I love it. It looks like a dwarf angel of some sort. Is it reef safe?

Not really, just messed up priorities.

Thanks. I've got 2 tanks of corals that I mostly forgot the names of.

It is a dwarf angel. C. Interrupta. So far it's been reef safe. I think I have a good chance for it to stay that way cuz its still a juvenile.

Although they look similar, I don't think they are the same. Mayb someone else can chime in.

Very nice acquisitions! That interrupta is a beauty and best of luck to you. A juvi is definitely the way to go. I've tried a wild caught medium sized one before and it never really ate and eventually wasted away.

That male fairy sure look like a hooded to me also. Hooded fairies are found at different locations and they look different depending on where they came from. As far as I know, flame wrasses are endemic to the Hawaiian islands, I believe.

It's on order. I'm patiently waiting.

I think you're referring to the Flashbomb. Yes that is the orenji.

My flamethrower is on the bottom left of this pic:

Yes, it's pretty stressful owning this fish because they're so delicate. But it's eating hearty and has seemed to settle in my tank very well.

Thanks to everyone else for your kind words.

I will have to add a pair of those wrasses to my list, very nice fish! I wish you the best of luck with the Angel, magnificent, yet your LPS is looking a little scared;)

Thanks Scott. I like to call it extreme reefing!

I was watching that Interrupta for some time on DD. Just didn't feel that my tank was well enough established yet. Best of luck!

Was DD reluctant to refund you the 2.3k for the other interruptus? Quite a hefty sum of money... Good thing for the 14 day guarantee

No, they responded the next day to my email. Although I haven't technically received the refund yet. They said it would take up to 3 business days for it to show up on my credit card. They gave me awesome customer support though and were very consolatory too.

Yeah, I'll never complain about DD prices again. They really do back up their guarantee. It's quite ballsy for them to offer their 14 day live guarantee.

The interruptus angel is one of my dream fish along with the peppermint angel. And they get even better looking as adults, definitely the best of luck! Are you keeping your temp. lower? I've read that they need cooler temps to thrive long term.

The very rare nacrosis angelfish was sold few minutes ago @ LADD I wonder who took it?
Anyone know who took it?

Wow, I didn't even know it was listed today. It's at a relatively reasonable price too. I couldn't have bought it anyway. My Interrupta is too well established in my tank. Hopefully whoever bought it will post pics!

Well the operative word is relatively. Given its rarity, difficulty in collection and previous sell price of $10,000+, yes $5k is relatively reasonable.

The one in Japan sold for 20 k

And Wayne I am not the only one that you pick up that angel! Lol
