Ok I was generously given the powder blue from raffle at the last SCRK meet. (THANK YOU TANU <3)
Well it was doing great, eating everything right away and no ich at all!
Yay right? No it developed some weird mucus film on one side of its body.
I have never seen that before as Ive been extremely luck with fish.
Well the mucus- best described as if you put clear glue on your hand, like back in elementary school :), and peeled some off but it was still attached and just hanging there, was even covering its eye and it soon had trouble using its pectoral fin.

What do you guys think it is? Brookynella?

The worst part is--I put him in my separate "QT" tank with other healthy fish that I don't yet want in in my current tank. I set up a smaller tank just for it and used Quick Ich. Bad idea, wrong medication?
Well it didnt last in the qt and sadly died. :(

Now my Bangii cardinal is showing signs! we were up until 6am last night building a temporary actual QT for my remaining fish that were exposed.

What is the best all around medication I can use to treat these guys?
I would prefer not to use copper if possible.

Thanks All!!

It might be a velvet ...
Cupramine And prazipro
It will take care of other parasite too.

Copper is your friend if use properly
Get a copper test kit.

Last year when I was on my killing spree
It's very rare that the fish have side effect to copper my QT
It was actually 10x better than my main tank.
