What rapid led kit

Im about to set up a 40 gallon breeder and i want to run a diy led system. im sure this is answered somewhere but i could not find it. how many leds would i need to run on a 40 gallon breeder to be able to keep anything. thanks!

I have the same tank and emailed them the same question last week. I have all SPS and clams and they suggested the 36 LED dimmable kit.

i would do a 48 led setup, 2 heatsinks with 24 each.
but there is so much info missing from this post to give an accurate answer.
how high do you plan to hang them?
are you planning to use heatsinks or channels?
what kind of overflows do you have, beananimal or other? i ask because youdon't want light in your overflow.
how are your rocks scaped? islands, etc.

depending on your build you might getaway with 36.

sorry about lack of info. for over flow im getting 700 gph glass hole kit with top. for aqua scape i want a to island layout. im not sure the how high i will hang it, it will most likely be adjustable and hanging from the ceiling. thanks for the help!

+1 36 will be more than ample and I doubt you will need to run them at 100. 48 is way overkill as that is the amount I am running on my 110!
